Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater 'take next big step' in blossoming relationship

Ariana Grande appears to be getting serious with her rumored new boyfriend, Ethan Slater. The pair have taken a big step in the blossoming relationship after they were seen in New York.

The Thank U, Next singer is currently filming for her next silver screen venture, Wicked, in the UK. But the celebrity seemed to have been given time off for Christmas and New Year, as she was spotted back on home turf. Recent photos of the couple appear to show the celebrity couple are moving in the right direction.

The duo were spotted on a cute dinner date with Ariana’s dad, so Ethan has definitely met the future ‘in-laws’.

Meeting your partner’s parents is a big step in a relationship, showing it’s more than just a casual romance or a fling.

In a rare outing, Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater were seen in New York City with her dad, Ed Butera and a friend days before Christmas. Ariana wore an all-black outfit, including black heels and adorable black fluffy hat to combat the cold. Ethan wore a casual look, with Nike sweatpants, shoes and North Face hoodie.

A source close to the Don’t Look Up star told Page Six they went to one of her ‘favorite restaurants’.

They said: “They had dinner with her dad and family at her family’s favorite Italian restaurant”.

The insider then said the all went to see Ethan Slater perform in his new Broadway musical, Spamalot. How cute!

It’s also nice to see Ariana’s family are supportive of Ethan’s endeavors by seeing his new show.

Someone close to the star added: “They love to support each other in their work… when she’s done with work, she loves going to the theater when she can”.

Ariana is back in the studio

It comes weeks after news hit the stands Ariana is back in the studio to record new music.

She teased fans with photos and video clips of herself in the studio, as followers can’t wait to see what she releases next.

But she’s still locked into a contract with music mogul Scooter Braun, despite allegedly firing the producer.

The 30-year-old had put her recordings on hold over the past few years for three Wicked movies, which were filmed back to back. She hasn’t released an album since 2020’s Positions. Outside of her music career, she’s been focusing on acting and her makeup and skincare brand, R.E.M beauty.

Ariana told Billboard last year: “Wicked is going to have every piece of me, every minute, every ounce of my heart, my time, my soul, my everything that I can give it.

“My hands are quite full with a lot of other ‘thrillifying’ work at the moment. I am spending all of my time with Glinda, I just was not ready.”
