Patricia “Patsy” Bryant of Laurel, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went to her heavenly home on Jan. 30, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 1936, in Laurel. Patsy loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who referred to her as “Granna.”
A graveside service will be Saturday, Feb. 3, at 10 a.m. at Lake Park Hills Cemetery in Laurel. Rev. Brent Benson will officiate with Memory Chapel in charge of arrangements.
Patsy was an avid bowler and loved to travel and see the places she studied about in school. She loved her church, West Laurel Baptist Church, and her Sunday school class, where she was a member since birth. She loved to host family at her house, as well as all the children in the neighborhood. Patsy worked with the Laurel School District, where she retired as a secretary for the Child Nutrition and Athletic departments.
She was preceded in death by her mother Lessie Moss; father Albert Moss; sister Lavelle Blakney; and brother Horace Moss.
Patsy is survived by her husband of 68 years Charles Bryant; daughter Kathy Stennett (Milton); son Mitch Bryant (Darla); grandchildren Lauren Walters (Roderick), Katy Smith (Mike), Landon Bryant (Katelyn) and Anna Sullivan (Daniel); great-grandchildren Charlie Bryant, Asher Sullivan and Camille Walters; brother Roy Moss; special niece Linda Moss; sisters Peggy Born and Mary Hewitt; brother Don Moss; and stepmother Betty Wise.
Pallbearers will be Roderick Walters, Mike Smith, Landon Bryant, Daniel Sullivan, Milton Stennett and Danny Byrd.
Her family gives a special thank you to the nurses, CNAs and staff at Comfort Care Nursing Center and South Central Regional Medical Center for their loving and affectionate care.
