Prince Harry was 'really offended' when Margot Robbie didn't recognize him at celebrity party

Prince Harry has a lot of celebrity pals, but who would have known Barbie star Margot Robbie was someone in his DMS.

The royal has been seen rubbing shoulders with celebrities for some time. These include Amal and George Clooney, Sir Elton John, Oprah Winfrey and Lord of the Rings star Orlando Bloom. It helps to be the son of a monarch, as it’ll likely get him into Hollywood hotspots and parties the rest of us dream about. One of his pals, Margot Robbie, admitted Prince Harry text her, but she committed the biggest sin when it comes to talking to your friends.

Margot Robbie and Prince Harry met back at Suki Waterhouse’s party, but she later admitted she had no idea who he was. Awkward.

The movie star even mistook him for singer Ed Sheeran, which apparently really offended him.

They were introduced via their mutual friend Cara Delevingne, but Margot Robbie says when he’d text her ‘pretty quickly’ she would leave him on read – sometimes Prince Harry would be waiting weeks at a time.

The Barbie star told Extra previously: “He is pretty quick on text, actually. Unlike me. I write back four days later, weeks later, sometimes.”

There wasn’t anything romantic going on, and this was before the Duke met Meghan Markle.

Margot said: “Everyone now thinks if they come on a night out with me in London, they’ll bump into Prince Harry.

“But I didn’t even know who it was. I’d had a drink, or drinks. I thought I was hanging out with Ed Sheeran.”

Hollywood star made a joke about the royals at the BAFTAs

During the BAFTA awards in London in February 2020, weeks after they left The Firm, Margot collected an award on behalf of another star at the awards show.

Picking up Best Supporting Actor for Brad Pitt in their film, Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood, she read his speech aloud.

She said: “Hey Britain. Heard you just became single. Welcome to the club!” This was referencing when Britain exited Europe (Brexit).

Margot then jokes Brad plans to call the award statue ‘Harry’ after the Duke, as he’s looking forward to ‘taking it back to America’ with him.

Prince William and Kate Middleton were actually in the front row of the ceremony and appeared to laugh at the jibe.
