Tommy Fury calls out Conor McGregor after hearing of Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson madness
Tommy Fury has called out Conor McGregor after being inspired by Jake Paul’s monumental upcoming showdown with Mike Tyson.
YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul announced this week that he will be fighting legendary boxer Tyson, 57, in front of 80,000 fans on July 20. The bout involving Paul, who is Fury’s former rival and lost to the Mancunian in February 2023, is expected to be one of the most lucrative boxing matches in history.
Now the 24-year-old Fury has taken a page out of Paul’s book by challenging another combat sports legend in McGregor. The Love Island 2019 winner threw down the gauntlet to The Notorious, who has only traded the UFC for one boxing match against Floyd Mayweather, which he lost in 2017.

Former two-belt UFC champion McGregor has had his own injury woes, having not competed in boxing or the UFC since breaking his leg in a defeat to Dustin Poirier back in 2021. The Irish MMA legend is closing in on a return this year, however, setting his sights on two UFC comeback fights before turning his attention to boxing again.

McGregor recently wrote on Instagram: "I wish for this on Mexican Independence Day in the sphere."Chandler June. [Nate] Diaz September. I have let this be known. Still holding hope for June 29. Lack of action on it, however, is now causing lack of enthusiasm.
"I need a decision soon. I am the most tested athlete under this new regime. Yet no date to fight. It's still there [a fight with Pacquiao]. Could be December. The Saudi's are game changers in the market 100 per-cent."
